Hungry For Horsepower? Hennesey's Creations

In case you haven't heard about Hennessey Performance, they are a Texas based tuning shop that creates the sort of horsepower that would make even a Buggati Veyron a little shy. From a pick up truck with 800 horsepower to the mighty 1244 horsepower Venom GT supercar, Hennessey knows how to do big horsepower.
Hennessey's latest creation is a Bugatti-Besting 1266hp Cadillac CTS-V. The Cadillac powerhouse packs a 7.0liter twin turbo V8 good for 1,066hp at the wheels. Hennessey claims a 0-100 in 2.9 seconds (as long as you put the power down to the road) and a blistering 10.2 second quarter mile. Perhaps even more impressive is the top speed. To get to the point, it's 242mph. Hennessey plans to build just 12 of these monstrous machines which will feature a full carbon wide body.
Ever looked at your pick up and thought it needs more power? John Hennessey obviously did. Hennessey takes a brand new Ford Raptor pick up, adds boost and a disturbingly loud exhaust and give you, what they call, the Velociraptor. If you have a spare US $16,000 and a Ford Raptor, the 600 horsepower Velociraptor can be all yours. Oh and if that's not enough power for you than the package comes with some blow as well. How does more than 800 horsepower sound? Yup, Hennessey offers a twin turbo 800 horsepower Velociraptor to satisfy your horsepower cravings.
The baddest, meanest and angriest Hennessey creation is the Venom GT. John Hennessey basically looked at at a Lotus Exige and thought " I wonder what this tiny, light weight, go-kart would be like with over a thousand horsepower and two turbos." That's how the Venom GT was born. The Venom GT weighs only 1244kg  and has 1244 horsepower. To put that into perspective, the Buggatti Veyron gets from 0-200mph in 24.2 seconds. Want to guess how quickly the Venom GT manages the 0-200mph sprint? Nope, you're quite wrong. It does it in 15.3 seconds! It's a car for the insane. You have to admit though, it is a seriously cool piece of kit. Which is probably why Steven Tylor brought one.
